About me
I’m Kylie, a Speech Pathologist with over 30 years’ experience working alongside children, families, educators, and communities.
I am deeply interested in how communication supports a child’s confidence, participation, and sense of belonging. My work focuses on helping children feel understood, while working alongside the adults in their lives to support communication through everyday interactions and play.
My approach is play-based, developmentally precise, and grounded in relationship. I meet children at their level, building skills through achievable success and meaningful engagement.
I hold a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) and a Master of Community Development, and have worked across youth work, disability advocacy, adult support coordination, and community settings.
My experience spans regional Australia, remote Northern Territory communities, and international work in India and Nepal. These experiences shape how I practise today, with a strong focus on collaboration, cultural responsiveness, and self-determination.
I work alongside families in many forms, including parents, kinship and grandparent carers, foster carers, co-parents, and families from Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, valuing each family’s knowledge, culture, and relationships.

I have worked alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families in early childhood and community settings. My practice is guided by listening, relationship, and respect for community knowledge. I am committed to working in ways that are culturally responsive and grounded in local context.
I welcome enquiries from families and educators who would like to explore how communication, play, and learning can be supported in everyday life.
